We completed the supply and installation today of 6, 85 gallon storage tanks in the water treatment plant for the municipality of Desbarats and the Township of Johnson. We had to shut the water down to the municipality briefly, but going forward, these tanks will provide the users with a much more efficient and serviceable system than the previous install.

We have a TSSA Fuels Safety Compliance Audit today! This is a mandatory inspection for registered contractors to examine the work and practices, and to confirm compliancy with the act. For your safety, it is very important that you hire a registered contractor for all your Natural Gas, Propane, and Furnace Oil work! Be sure to ask your contractor before the job, if they are registered with TSSA, and confirm that they are licensed in the field of work they are performing. Happy, and Safe Heating!

Hey Friends! Everyone knows how exercise is good for us, but not all of us do enough of it (including myself). Well, the same works with the valves in your homes and workplace. Everyone needs to have a routine of exercising your valves, or they will fail when you need them, and if you need the valve to close in an emergency, it may not happen. Just like changing the batteries in your smoke detectors and digital thermostats, get in a regular routine of closing and opening your fixture valves, and the main water valve for your building. Closing and opening will help keep them lubricated, and you will also know ahead of an emergency if the valve needs to be replaced. We supplied and installed two pumps today at the Desbarats Water Treatment Plant. These pumps pull water from the lake and dump into a concrete well under the building. Thanks to the Twp of Johnson, and the Sault PUC for having us!

Six, 86 Gallon well pump tanks. Ready to go for next week's install. Stay tuned for photos of that! We're "well" above the competition for quality products and workmanship!

Hey FaceBook friends who are on propane or heating oil... I am just coming in from an early morning no-heat call. Just a reminder for everyone to check your guage on your tanks. You may very well be on "automatic delivery", but with such uncommon cold temperatures, it can throw your distributors system off on the degree day calculations. It's your responsibility to check those tanks and prevent a cold wait for product, and a invoice from your heating contractor! Happy heating!

We weren't deep frying fish or turkey today, but we were keeping water boiling hot to thaw a rural water line! It's going to be a really bad year for frost folks! If you are on a municipal water and sewer system, we suggest you keep a trickle of water flowing. If you are on rural water and septic, I hope your underground lines are well insulated! Please do not travel on areas of your yard where water and septic lines are located, and keep snow on the ground in these areas to help with insulation!

Here are a couple of the calls we had to deal with today as the temperatures warmed a bit from the -30 we have been having. Frozen pipes started to thaw and break! Turn the heat up folks, and get those water lines that are near outside walls insulated! Happy heating!

Happy Holidays everyone! Many of our no-heat calls on these extremely cold days are frosted vents or clogged air filters. Just a friendly reminder before you call for service, check and make sure those vents are clear, and make sure to check your air filter monthly. A clogged air filter is very inefficient and can cost extra fuel use, and lack of heat. Like and share our posts for more tips!
