CRP Survey

Communication From Calgary Regional Partnership – Regional Transit Survey Regional Transit is a cornerstone for smart growth within the Calgary Region. The Calgary Regional Partnership is currently operating the southern Calgary region On-It Regional Transit pilot involving Black Diamond, High River, Okotoks, Turner Valley and Calgary. The partnership’s ultimate goal is to connect all CRP member municipalities with each other and to the city of Calgary. Currently, the CRP is exploring opportunities to expand On-It to connect Chestermere, Cochrane and Strathmore to and from Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity for the residents of Chestermere, Cochrane and Strathmore. To properly assess your needs, the CRP is conducting a telephone and on-line survey starting June 1 2017. The results of this survey will help shape the service plan which could lead to a potential regional transit pilot for your municipality in the future. Your participation in this survey should you be called or choose to do the on-line survey, is appreciated but more importantly, gives you the opportunity to help shape regional transit in the future. WESTLAKE PLAYGROUND UPDATE New playground equipment is being installed in the park on Westlake Circle. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 5th, 2017. Parts of the park will be closed and fenced off during construction. The equipment should be ready for play June 16th, 2017.

SPRING STREET SWEEPING Please note signs have been posted for street cleaning on May 31 2017, 7pm to 1am for Lakeside Blvd, Village Way, Second Street, Third Ave, Fourth Ave east of Third Street to Lakeside Blvd., Second Ave, Third Street from First Ave to Fourth Ave. Please use caution around equipment and crew. WIND STORM CLEAN UP - TREES AND TREE BRANCHES Huxted Waste and Recycling are generously donating roll-off bins for wind storm cleanup. The Town is requesting residents only to dispose of their trees and tree branches in the roll-off bins which are located at the Curling Rink parking lot on Brent Boulevard and the Kinsmen Spray Park parking lot on Lakeside Boulevard. The bins will be available for use until Monday May 29, 2017. Residents please use caution when disposing of materials.
