Dr. S.E. McDowell Elementary School Breakfast and Snack Program The Chamber has received a request for funding from the local elementary school who is implementing a Breakfast and Snack Program for their students. The principal, Anne Valcov, conducted a survey and discovered that about one third of their school population of 270 do not eat anything until about 10 a.m. Therefore, they have initiated the program to serve cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and granola bars to the students who want to eat breakfast. Fruit baskets are also available in every classroom. They are seeking community support for this program. The monthly cost of the program is just shy of $250. They are looking for sponsors to help with this much-needed program. If your business would like to sponsor a month of this program, please contact Principal Anne Valcov at 819-647-3800 or email mcdowell@wqsb.qc.ca
