Great job by all of our combo and Glee groups today performing in not the greatest of weather over at Jaycee Park, while entertaining us with awesome performances throughout the morning. We're as proud of you as always!!! Sorry to the few students that came out that didn't get the chance to perform because their groups were missing members. We'll make it up to you. Busy week tearing down walls in our new additional space opening it right up. And now the work continues!!!

Can't wait to check out our junior and senior Glee Clubs tonight singing the national anthem at the Niagara River Lions game along with a small performance at halftime. What a fun opportunity for so many very deserving students. Big thanks to their instructor Andrea Nolan who has been a huge inspiration to these wonderful group of kids and helped them tremendously with their development! If you're at the game, come and say hi to us at the main concourse. We'll also be having a booth set up there promoting some of the programs at the Conservatory!!!

Good luck to all of our students today performing at BandFest 2017. Can't wait to see all of your hard work pay off!!! Join us at the Canadian Polish Society Hall (43 Facer Street, St. Catharines) between 9:00 and 5:30 for some great music. The hall will be serving fresh perogies, cabbage rolls, and sausage, and Marble Slab will be catering the event with your favourite ice cream concoctions. Look forward to seeing you here!!!

Winners will be drawn following the grand opening of our brand new 2000 sq foot space located at 22 Court Street, St. Catharines in mid May, and may be booked at your convenience in either 2017 or 2018. Is your child showing an interest in the learning of a musical instrument? Come and experience our extraordinary musical camps for the musician in your family. Each program is taught by professional musicians and educators, and are held in our new 2000 sq foot facility dedicated towards these wonderful programs. Are you currently taking music lessons? If so, we also have a program for you. Whether you’re looking to build on the instrument that you are currently studying, or give something new a try. Maybe mix with some students on different instruments to form a rock band with others your age and level. Check out what these wonderful programs have to offer! Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Extended care is offered upon request at an additional fee. The cost for any of our week long camps is $250.00. Sign up for multiple camps throughout the summer and receive an additional 20% off any additional weeks. Please provide your child with a nut free lunch and at least 3 nut free snacks. Every Friday we will provide all of our campers with a pizza lunch. Summer Camps include: Little Mozart's, ages 4 - 5. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required (child must be potty trained). Let us inspire your child with the joy of music. Each day we discover new songs and stories, while introducing notation and exploring a variety of instruments, musical arts and crafts, resulting in a final performance on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 17th and August 14th. PianoMania, ages 5 - 7. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required. This is an introductory music camp which will allow children to discover the language of music through piano as well as exposure to the social aspect of camp. This will in turn connect children with new friends that have similar musical interests. Working together in class will help them to develop a stronger relationship with their musical abilities. A final performance showcasing their hard work over the course of the week will take place on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 24th and August 21st. PianoMania II, ages 8 - 14. Prerequisite: Minimum of 1 year of private instruction. This is an intermediate music camp which will allow pianists of all levels the opportunity to play in an ensemble environment strengthening their ear training skills. Students will connect with a number of pianists at various levels to create a variety of ensemble pieces resulting in a final performance on the last day of each week of camp. This camp will run the week of July 24th and August 21st. Instrumental Sampler Camp, ages 7 - 12. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required. Is your child interested in music? Not sure which instrument to choose? Try our instrumental sampler camp! Campers will participate in group piano, violin, and guitar/ukulele classes, and will also be introduced to hand drumming and singing. A perfect way to help choose which instrument will be the best for lessons in September. A final performance showcasing their hard work over the course of the week will take place on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 17th and August 14th. Movin’ To The Beats, ages 7 - 14. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required. Attention parents! Are you tired of your kids banging on anything and everything? This performance program will explore an exciting blend of movement and sound! Students will work with a variety of percussion instruments and learn choreographed movement to result in a final performance on the last day of each week of camp. A great opportunity as well for our drum students to be able to explore a variety of percussion instruments which they don’t have a chance to play on a week to week basis. This camp will run the week of July 3rd and August 7th. GuitarMania, ages 8 - 14. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required. The GuitarMania camp is a fun and entertaining guitar camp that will have all the campers fall in love with the guitar and the many possibilities that the guitar has to offer. From playing chords, recognizing notes and learning to compose simple songs, to making friends, learning to jam and having a good time. A great opportunity as well for your child currently enrolled in private guitar classes to experience working in an ensemble environment. Music will be selected to adhere to guitarists at all levels, from beginner to advanced. A final performance showcasing their hard work over the course of the week will take place on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 3rd and August 7th. Dramatic Arts Camp, ages 7 -14. Prerequisite: No previous training required. A multi-faceted theatre arts day camp ideal for youths aged 7 – 14. Programs include dance, music, theatre arts, acting, vocal training, and collaborative theatre-making experience. Develop self-confidence & social skills while exploring the world of the stage. The perfect place for kids striving to be Triple Threats, who love performing, flexing their creativity muscles, and having fun! A final performance showcasing their hard work over the course of the week will take place on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 3rd and August 7th. Glee Camp, ages 8 - 16. Prerequisite: No previous musical training required. Love to sing? Join us for a week of singing, dancing, and fun! Learn vocal harmonies and fun in the spotlight. This week long camp will bring together so much wonderful talent resulting in a final performance on the last day of each week of camp! This camp will run the week of July 24th and August 21st. Rock Camp, ages 8 - 16. Prerequisite: Minimum of 1 year private instruction. Want to play in a band? Rock out with us, as campers will work with a band of peers in preparation for a final concert on the last day of each week of camp. Workshops on songwriting, technique and musicianship will take your skills to the next level. Students of the guitar, bass, drums, piano, violin and voice are welcome, with a minimum of 1 year of instruction required. Drums, keyboards, and amplifiers will be provided. Our coaches will help you reach your full potential. This is a great way to get ready for the stage. We will record a number of our jam sessions throughout the week and make them available for our campers. Students will be divided up into groups based on their ages and levels. This camp will run the week of July 10th, July 31st, and August 28th. March Break, Winter Break, and P.A. Day Camps will run as Instrumental Sampler Camps, Glee Camps, and Rock Camps!
