An intimate concert hall aimed at presenting the best in local and international, ORIGINAL artists... Located in the historic Ottawa Valley town of Renfrew, Ontario, Batstone’s Northern Ramble is a multi-purpose venue designed as a premium concert hall first, but to also accommodate everything from independent film viewing, dance recitals and live theatre, seminars and/or multi-media conferences, non-denominational weddings and private parties.
Occupancy is approx. 85 persons with 2 unisex public washrooms, large service areas for food/beverage presentation and plenty of small, flat spaces for handling light food and the intended BYO wine/beer format.
Though currently not completely ‘barrier free’, it does feature one wheelchair accessible washroom on the venue level, as well as a designated wheelchair viewing area and 2 designated barrier-free parking spaces in the 14 space, adjoining private parking lot. There is also ample street parking and nearby, designated public parking lots in walking distance to the venue.
Formerly a Baptist church, it was originally designed with a ‘theatre’ floor [higher at the back than the front] to allow for a less obstructed view of the stage area and coupled with it’s natural ambient acoustics makes for a brilliant space to appreciate the best in live music and entertainment.
Intended to be a ‘listening room’ first, every effort will be made to insure both entertainers and audience experience a unique and rare level of intimacy. The room features a quality house sound system and lighting options, a digital projection/screening system, and entertainers lounge [Green Room].
