I am Mark Zarvie a personal trainer here in Prince Rupert to help everyone with their fitness goals! Commit to Fit! Phase 2 Fitness is the business Mark Zarvie has been wanting to create for over 10 years.

The goals of the business is to help everyone from all age groups to find a love for fitness. Fitness is about exploring yourself, finding what you are able to do and growing past it.

My buddy (on the left) showed me how to improve my shoulder stand squat. Look at how straight he is! Wow! And I thought I was doing it pretty good! This is such a great example of how no matter how much you advance it's always important to revisit the "basics" The better you get at the "early stages" the better you will be at the advanced stuff. I am always revisiting these earlier progressions all the time! I'm always learning, because in world of fitness, you are always learning new things. So this is tricky to see my progress with my king pigeon. So I'll explain what's gotten better. The top picture is today and the bottom is about a month ago. (almost to the day) First off my back leg is a tiny bit closer and my front leg is alot straighter. If you notice my butt is muchcloser to the ground as well! As much as you want to get back in the shape you may have been.. You have to remember to take it slow. The training I have done in my 20s is much faster paced then the training I now do in my 30s since over coming my back pain. Train at your level. Train to be better then yesterday or last week. Put the ego away (this was a major problem of mine in my 20s) One last thing... There is a thing call muscle memory, your muscles may not be strong enough yet however if you have done it before, your muscles remember how.... It might just take a bit for them to remember!

My good buddie nick practicing his falling.. I mean handstands This guy sent me like a thousand videos.. It was so hard to choose what to share. With only one minute to bash them all together? Man.. That was tough! At the beginning of nicks fitness journey he would of never thought he would be doing handstands and cartwheels! Everyone's fitness journey can be so different and it changes over time. You might be obsessing over how to get more on your lifts and the next you'll be working towards doing a handstand.
