The new and improved McKinney's aims to become Powell River's top live music venue while featuring great BC craft beer and a large collection of fine whiskies and bourbons and an exiting menu with an Irish comfort food theme.

Join blues legend Sam Hurrie and guests for a weekly blues night at McKinney's Pub. No cover charge but tips are appreciated for Sam and the band. Music gets going at 7 pm and kitchen is open until 9 pm. Minors allowed with parents or guardians until 9 pm.
Our new bi-weekly event, McKinney's Band Lab, launches on Wednesday, March 7, and will alternate Wednesdays with our very popular Raise Your Voice: Open Mic at McKinney's Pub. Find out more about our upcoming addition at the event link below.
McKinney's Band Lab brings local musicians and other artists together in an open, experimental environmental. Anyone can join and create music and art together on the McKinney's stage while those in attendance witness the creative process. Bring your instruments and amplifiers, art supplies, and anything you need to be creative. We will provide drums and extra amplifiers. In Band Lab, there are NO RULES. Whatever happens, happens. We only ask that you enter the experiment in the spirit of collaboration and open-mindedness. No cover charge. Alternating every second Wednesday with Raise Your Voice: Open Mic at McKinney's Pub.
