facebook.comWe are very sorry to share the news that one of our library staff, Heather Cooper, passed away yesterday afternoon (Feb. 19, 2018). Heather was 71 and had bypass surgery on Feb. 14th . Although the surgery went well, she had some serious complications and in the end there was nothing that her medical team could do. Heather has been with us since November 2008; her last day before her medical leave was February 2nd. Heather was a vibrant, interesting and funny woman who brightened up the place with her laugh and her wonderful sense of style. Heather was a huge Elvis fan (even impersonators). She is survived by her brother and her 3 furry dog children. She was a great favourite of both staff and customers, so we wanted to inform our patrons who have been asking for news about her during the past week. We will all miss her very much. Please bear with us as we try to hold it together over the next few days. We thank you for your understanding and patience and hope you will join with us in celebrating the life of this wonderful woman.
