A little more of Sparky's ABC of fire safety for the kids at Mckay School today. I may have watched this video 100 times but it is still one of the best way for the kids to learn about fire safety. Look forward to going back next week to finish all our classroom visits

Excellent video showing how newer homes and furnishings cut down the time you have to escape a fire. This shows the importance of working smoke alarms and an escape plan (Deputy Bendia). http://www.today.com/home/newer-homes-furniture-burn-faster-giving-you-less-time-escape-t65826

Had a good start to our school visit at St Patricks. The ELKP kids pictured below watched Sparkys ABC and then answered all of our fire safety questions. Of course, what is a fire safety visit without the teacher dressing up in our gear. A few more classes left to visit this afternoon!!!!!

Finished visiting all the classes at St Therese today....what a great bunch of kids. Picture below is of firefighter Angie Spiece in the grade 5 class instructing the need for home escape planning and the need to practice them. The kids also were shown the who, what, where, when, why and hows of smoke alarms. Thanks Titans!!!
