Congratulations to the students who were recognized at the January Let It Shine Assembly!

http://staug.starcatholic.ab.ca/students/letting-our-light-shine2/post/alberta-provincial-youth-bowling - Congratulations to Alexavier Lim who competed in the BOYS category with team "Central AB Silver." The team competed at the Chinook Bowladrome in Calgary and won GOLD in the P.O.A. (point over average) category. The team had initially been awarded the bronze medal however due to a technical error were later awarded with gold. Mathew Dela Cruz also competed in the MIXED category with team "Central AB Black." Matthew’s team won SILVER in the Scratch category. A total of twenty-seven teams were competing in this tournament with hopes of qualifying to attend the Nationals. Although the boys did not qualify for the Nationals they finished in a respectable 4th place overall (Alexavier’s team) and 2nd overall (Matthew’s team). Congratulations to both bowlers! Good luck to Alexavier as he competes again on Feb. 11 in Camrose at a Youth Zone Championship Tournament!

Although we have had a number of indoor recesses lately students should always be prepared for outdoor play. Temperatures often change rapidly & we look forward to getting some much needed Vitamin D whenever we can.
