Kootenai Brown
Description
Museum / Historical Society Come walk the board walks chronicling our pioneer past at the Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village. Here, you can experience how the western Canadian frontier shaped Pincher Creek in becoming the third oldest surviving settlement on the southwestern corner of the prairies. Relive the past by touring through our authentically exhibited 24 heritage buildings surrounded by visually stunning grounds.
Step back in time in our living historical village. Join us for any number of exciting heritage events throughout the year including Canada Day. School groups are encouraged to ask about our educational programs. Engage in a guided tour of the Village or a historical walking tour of the community.

Vote for this Video! It was a class project of one of the schools visited with the Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village Education Outreach Program. We think these Grade 8's did a bang-up job promoting Parks Canada's Pass program, and I think they show you why to visit Waterton Lakes National Park this year. And come over to Pincher Creek and see us at KBPV when you do! And, oh, yes, don't forget to vote for this video. http://contest.myparkspass.ca/video/Gallery#70-Waterton++The+Best+In+the+West-Lethbridge+Christian+School-Lethbridge
Hey kids! Help name 14 RCMP foals for Canada 150! | Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Hey, kids of Pincher Creek! And parents and teachers of Kids! The Mounties have fourteen new foals in their stables that will be raised to participate in the RCMP Musical Ride. And they'd love it if you could provide a name for these young horses - that begins with the letter "O" (that helps the trainers keep track of what year the foals were born) - which also happens to be the year of Canada 150! Just go to the link below before the end of April - and teachers - this might not be a bad class project, given Pincher Creek's vital historical connection to the Mounties. http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/news/2017/28/hey-kids-help-name-14-rcmp-foals-canada-150?fb
