Great News !! I would like to now officially invite paraglide pilots, mountain bikers and runners to the Pemberton Aerothlon September 1st. We managed to find a solution to our landing field problem and transition to mountain bikes due to permits, rezoning, red tape , etc. Therefore we are going to shuttle the mountain bikers by vans, trucks and automobiles from the paragliding field chosen that morning for the start of the mountain bike leg in the gravel parking lot where all the Mountain Bikers start their day. This way we can go by RASP and weather conditions that day and even fly north some XC if conditions permit. Otherwise we have a field right on Pemberton Side of railway bridge, an easy glide over Lillooet River. So I hope you can sign up for either of the three categories below. On September the 5th 2018 we are embarking on a 6 week land and sea expedition sailing a hybrid kayak from Wujal Wujal to the tip of Cape York producing a Documentary Film promoting the unique history and coastline of far North Queensland along with raising awareness for Defence Shed, a not for profit organisation assisting return Veterans, Police, Fire Fighters, Ambulance Officers and Emergency first responders in their time of need with our guest Canadian film maker Peter Chrzanowski. We are seeking the assistance of a support sailing vessel to accomodate Peter and his film equipment and run safety back up for the duration of the expedition. The Kapani Warrior program run by Dr Tim White will be assisting with land support taking on the responsibility of observation and communications at various remote locations along the coast.
