I'm going to start to show off some of our amazing Auction items for #PDHGala2017...first up: World Juniors for four people - Dec 26th - Jan 5th in Buffalo! Included are all the games, including the medal games and the first ever outdoor game at an IIHF event (Canada vs USA, of course!) For the hockey fan, there's no better auction item! This is Volunteer Appreciation Week and this Hospital and Foundation would be lost without its volunteers! We are currently working on our largest event of the year, our 17th Annual Starlight Gala and without the assistance of almost 100 people, we could not put on the type of Gala event that people want to keep coming back to year after year! Thanks to our volunteers, we are "sold out", and we have the most awesome items coming in for our Live and Silent Auctions! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We appreciate you, more than you know!

Welcome to the new Co-Presidents of the Palmerston and District Hospital Auxiliary, MaryLou Brown and Mary Faye Burns! Our PDH Auxiliary works tirelessly to support many needs within the hospital: operating the gift shop, assisting with specialist clinics, running the annual Christmas Bazaar, providing day brighteners for in-patients through tray favours and gifts at holidays, bursaries for Norwell students heading to post secondary education in the medical field, assisting with Foundation fundraisers, the list goes on! For almost 100 years, they have been supporting our hospital, so when you see someone in a peach smock, thank them for all they do for our hospital! They love us, and we love them!

...and we're out of the gates! Our friends Kash and Norma Ramchandani of the Royal Terrace have come on board once again as a Crystal Sponsor of the 2017 Starlight Gala "A Run for the Roses"! Thank you Kash and Norma - we're looking forward to this exciting event in support of our local hospital!

We are pleased to announce the theme for the 17th Annual Starlight Gala...it will be "A Run for the Roses", our tribute to the Kentucky Derby, the grand dame of horse racing! Of course in true Gala tradition, our first priority is raising money for our hospital, after that it's all about the style...think hats, fascinators and the most elegant of garden parties! The event will be held on May 27th, 2017 at the PMD Arena Complex in Drayton. Sponsors are being sought for the event now, and tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 1st. To be placed on our ticket waiting list, email pdhgalatickets@gmail.com and we'll be in touch in early April.
