VERY happy to report that provincial government funding has been restored to SK libraries! This means that we can once again offer province-wide hold requests and transfer of materials, hoopla (online borrowing of digital books, movies, TV shows, music, and more!), and other FREE services! THANK YOU, everyone, for your vocal and active support!

Vote Library Petition

Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition in support of SK libraries! Track the petition's progress here: http://www.votelibrarypetition.ca/ If you haven't signed yet, please consider doing so! Even if you don't personally use the library (much), it is helping make your community stronger and richer (for every $1 spent on libraries, $5 in value are gained -- that's quite a return on investment!)! We need your support! Thank you!!!

The Ride

Stacey and Teresa Nahachewsky -- sisters who are currently riding on horseback from Pierson, MB to White Rock, BC -- stopped into Oxbow Public Library Branch Southeast Regional Library, Ada Staples Library today, and enjoyed the quiet of our Meeting Room (free for non-profit use), and our free WiFi, to catch up on blogging about their ride. They also took a moment to sign our petition in support of SK public libraries (both used libraries LOTS while studying in SK and AB). Check out all their interesting stories about "The Ride" (I got to hear a couple first-hand) at www.nahahorsetales.com. #morethanbooks #morethanbricksandmortar #SKlibrariesmatter #saveSKlibraries Brad Wall SaskParty Carla Beck, MLA for Regina Lakeview
