Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Christmas 4 Kids Volunteers needed! Members of Divine Word: Please prayerfully consider volunteering your time and talents to help us glorify God in our community. C4K is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th from 10am - 2pm. We are looking for: Group leaders (in charge of individual groups), Craft leader (crafts provided), Teacher of lesson, Cookie Decorating Leader, Greeter, and all kinds of helpers! So excited to announce this year's "Advent by Candlelight"! All women of all ages are invited to an evening of preparing your hearts for Christ's coming. You are invited to set aside one evening during the busyness of Advent and all the pre-CHRISTmas preparations that come with this hectic time of year. Feed your soul with God's Word! And while you're at it, fill your tummy too with sweet and savoury treats and seasonal drinks. Bring a friend!! YOU MUST RSVP TO ATTEND. We want to set a special place for YOU! A reason to celebrate - last Sunday marked 38 years of God's amazing grace to Divine Word!! How blessed we are to preach and teach the good news of Christ's love and salvation to the people of our growing and diverse community. Of course, a celebration this important requires a lot of food and our members came bringing plenty of it! Pastor and Rachel want to say a special thank you for the love and friendship you showed us with cards, flowers and gift. We are very blessed to have you as our church family and to share with you in the mission of Divine Word! Let us continue to work together, encourage each other and build one another up to glorify God in all we do!

Barnyard VBS starts tomorrow!

FREE FAMILY FUNFEST! Join us on Sunday, August 28th for our FREE FUNFEST following our VBS closing worship service. Activities include a hotdog/hamburger lunch starting at 11:00am along with a craft station, petting zoo, face painting and pony rides ($5). Open to everyone regardless of whether your kids have come to our VBS earlier in the week. 1081 Greenback Road in Barrhaven on August 28th from 11am to 3pm. Invite your friends - everyone is welcome!! Hope to see you there!

We also have a COMMUNITY FUN-FEST after our closing service (9:30 am) that ties in with our BARNYARD ROUNDUP theme on August 28: Petting zoo / animal rides / face-painting / BBQ lunch / fun and games for all.
