Les modifications profondes du statut de l’objet, de la culture, des diverses disciplines, de l’information et de l’éducation entraînent une transformation inévitable du rôle et des compétences du commissaire. La pratique curatoriale suscite depuis peu un regain d’intérêt en architecture. Le CCA propose depuis 2011 deux programmes curatoriaux avec le généreux soutien de Power Corporation du Canada: le programme pour commissaire émergent et le programme de stages curatoriaux. Le programme pour commissaire émergent offre la possibilité de présenter et de réaliser un projet curatorial en lien avec les débats contemporains sur l’architecture, l’urbanisme, l’architecture du paysage, et les dynamiques sociales et culturelles. Le projet devra être développé au cours d’une résidence de trois mois au CCA à Montréal. _______________________________________________ Curatorial practice as it emerged during the twentieth century is being extensively recast. Tremendous changes in the status of the object, culture, the various disciplines, information and education imply an inevitable transformation of the curator’s role and competences. A renewed interest in curatorial practice has recently emerged within the field of architecture. Since 2011, the CCA has offered two curatorial opportunities annually: the Emerging Curator Program and the Curatorial Internships Program. The Emerging Curator Program offers the opportunity to propose and curate a project at the CCA related to contemporary debates in architecture, urban issues, landscape design, and cultural and social dynamics.
