This is something I have thought of for a long time, I have been in positions where I was cold, homeless and hungry. Traveling the world has that effect but more importantly it happens here as well...even in our own small towns. What I am planning is a simple help.... Every Saturday all of Hicks Cafe soups, biscuits and muffins will be free for those in need after 3:30 pm... and I implore you ...if you are not in need?, please dont come for a free meal..... Sandra and I wish to give back to a town that has accepted us so wonderfully...and fully believe that We give...not because We have a lot....but because we know what it is to have nothing.

Just a reminder friends The Cafe will be Closed on Friday/15th but will re-open Saturday/16th, We are sorry for any inconvenience and will see you all bright and early Saturday Morning ! ;)

Looking like a great day for some killer wings along with a Caesar or Tater Salad folks!!!!

Gonna be a cooker today folks.... get plenty of H2O into ya!!.... and make sure the pets get plenty as well..... remember they wear fur coats! ;)

This has hit hard... Anthony Bourdain, a true battle hardened and scarred Chef has passed... one I greatly admired.. so sad... rest now Chef... your shift is done.. 😔

ITS WING WEDNESDAY!!! 6 big juicy wings and a crisp Caesar Salad anyone? ;) and of course loads of great food and Betty was baking late into the night so slip on by to enjoy some great food and treats!

Wow!... what a change in weather folks BRRRRRRRRRR so stay warm friends and hopefully the Sun will make an appearance! ;)

1 more day until Wing Wednesday at the Cafe.... this time the featured Flava is Asian Honey a lip smacking combination of herbs and spices ensconced in pure Ontario Honey....or of course we also have our smoky BBQ ...Dry Kikn Chkn rub..... or seeing as it was so popular the Greek Style Wings will make a return showing ;) and of course a crisp Caesar Salad to go with it!.

Looking a lil dreary today.... Must be Monday ...and if everyday is truly a gift then Im certain Mondays are the socks and underpants... ;)...but fret not sunny days are on the way :)
