FYI when you are painting while standing on a step ladder make sure your paint tray isn't too close to the ladder, otherwise when you loose your balance and fall you'll be cleaning the floors! #lessonslearned

Our weather was too cold to get the bathrooms finished before opening day but this weekend has been a busy painting frenzy. The men's is almost done and this is the women's I started tonight. I must say cutting in every single block is way more time consuming then I first thought. The washrooms were so dark and needed a fresh coat (or three) of paint. White will be more work for us to keep clean, but it feels so much brighter with white paint and new lighting... Enough to hold us over until the washrooms can have a full reno somewhere down the road.
Opening day! Thank you everyone who stopped by to say hi. All in all we had a great first day. A crazy busy first day but a good one despite the back ordered paint for the washrooms not arriving today, and an almost sewer back up which we caught just in time. Thankfully the city fixed it quickly and the crisis was averted! We met many seasonals, sold the last available trailer in the park, checked in a few weekend customers, firewood arrived and our ice cream order arrived too. Thank you everyone for your patience with the washrooms. They will be finished as quickly as we can. May you all have a great weekend!

Does this classify as winter camping? I thought April showers brought May flowers? But snow? Come on spring!
