CTS Coxon's Towing Services Ltd.
Description
Coxon's Towing Services is not just a towing company but an all en-compassing transportation service provider. CTS Coxon’s Towing Services Ltd. began in 1961 when Bill Coxon purchased his first tow truck, a 1956 Dodge. Since then his efforts, vision, and hard work have continued as a family business that has responded to economic swings from as many as 27 tow trucks down to 3. Bill was passionate about towing, and he personally built the first hydraulic tow truck in North America. Bill took much pride going to "Tow-Shows" and literally ”lifting the competition off the ground”. The International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame / Museum recognized his many contributions to the towing industry when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991.
His son Brad Coxon started with the business in 1985 and took over the business in 1998, when Bill suddenly passed away in 1998 from long-term health complications. Since taking over control of the business Brad has focused on heavy recovery, heavy towing, specialized transportation, and environmental spill response and clean up.
The unique company colours and markings on all Coxon vehicles are recognized throughout the region as police and emergency responders have come to rely on their skilled operators and reliable equipment.
