World of Choices April 6th Mrs. Gibbons and Mrs. Gazely accompanied 15 of our school’s young women to the career forum, World of Choices, a Junior Achievement sponsored program in Lethbridge. The students had the opportunity to sit in small groups with 5 different career mentors. Their discussions centered around learning what a day in the life of these professional woman was like and the education and qualifications needed to reach their career goals. Some of the mentors included a lawyer, a photographer, a funeral director, Lethbridge Police Services, U of L and LC representatives, a pharmacist, an accountant, the radio broadcasting Morning show hosts and many others. The goal is to leave the participants feeling better prepared and more confident to face the challenges of career decisions. This was an excellent program for our young women to attend. #goldbluetrue Westwind School Division No.74
