Our grounds and trails are open sunrise to sunset.  During the winter months buildings are closed.  Be sure to watch for events! Grounds open year round from Dawn to Dusk.   Buildings open from 10am to 4 pm.  Weekends from Victoria Day to Labour Day and daily (except Mondays and Tuesdays) from July 2 to September 4.  Admission to O'Hara Mill Homestead  is free,  . Donations are greatly appreciated.  Donations accepted here on Facebook, on our webpage and in the donation boxes on the bridge and at the visitors centre.     Visit our website for all the details. http://ohara-mill.org

170th Wedding Anniversary of James O'Hara Jr. and Mary "Jane" O'Hara, married 3 February 1848! James' wedding gift to his bride was this china tea service. Mary Jane wore a topaz brooch on her wedding day, and again on their 50th anniversary.

This week's AGM has me thinking about plantings in the kitchen garden for this coming Spring! We welcome volunteers and are considering a teaching element with the gardens. All of the plants will be of heritage variety. Looking forward to getting started!
