Our training and nutrition staff will provide the off-ice services and do whatever it takes to not only get our athletes to the next level, but allow them to excel at that level.

Triple Threat Hockey will be offering a variety of different packages with competitive prices. There are in-season, off-season, and year-round packages available.

One of our AAA athletes performing overhead split squats. Although this isn't an exercise where you can use as heavy weight as you can to stimulate the leg muscles, it DOES force the body to stabilize and brace the core and shoulders at the same time. For a sport such as hockey, this is an incredibly important factor in a harder slap shot, for example.

Here at Triple Threat Hockey, we realize that although we train athletes, we are also training children. These are kids who are not solely defined by their chosen sport. Emphasis should not always be on winning, but on FUN! Hockey like most sports was created to have a good time! If you are pushing your kids too much, at such a young age, it will not fare well for their future. We don't let any of our athletes leave the session without a smile on their faces and a few laughs that we share throughout the session. Push your kids to ENJOY their sport, do not push them to WIN. If your child enjoys the sport, they will be intrinsically motivated to want to do well. We are preparing these children for a FUTURE in the sport, we never want to burn them out! It's inspiring to see gains not only in strength and performance, but in their confidence levels!

When it comes to our athletes, we realize that abdominal/core training is critical to their development as both athletes and healthy humans! Apart from proper technique on movements such as deadlifts and squats which work the core very well, I also like to throw in the plank and plank variations to keep that area of the body STRONG! When it comes to the importance of core training and its connection to sport, in this case hockey, you can simply look at something as simple as a slapshot. In order for that athlete to properly raise the stick and hit it against the puck at an optimal velocity, they not only have to transfer that strength through their torso, but their abdominals and other core muscles are stabilizing the trunk as they go through this motion.
