Vote to Save Saskatchewan Libraries
Kindersley Library has received an official petition, drafted by a Regina Lawyer and written to the Minister of Justice asking to have a plebiscite: "Should the govenment of Saskatchewan maintain provincial funding for public libraries in Saskatchewan at least at 2016 levels, indexed for inflation?" There is a copy of the petition at the Kindersley Library. Please stop in and sign it if you are over 18 and are able to vote in a provincial election.
People have been asking how they can help since the province announced such drastic cuts to the regional library budgets. This is early days and we have not had any official word from our headquarters. As soon as I hear something official I will announce it here. Thank you for your concern. Marilyn
