There is a reason the No Drama Fitness motto is #hardtokill Heavy resistance training produces significant increases in bone density, increased muscle volume and stronger connective tissue. That keeps you alive when things go bad. Book a no-sweat intro and be #hardtokill. ==> http://nodramacrossfit.ca/contact-us/

Congratulations to No Drama Varsity athlete Kaleb Smith on making the #Highlanders hockey team for next season. Apparently he's pretty good at the #hockey thing. More importantly, he is a great PERSON who works hard and commits at getting a little better everyday. #nodramafitness #hardtokill #youthtraining The No Drama Varsity program helps youth athletes succeed both in sport and in life.

I actually like participating in the Crossfit Open because it reminds me why I show up and try week after week. I am reminded how small gains and consistent efforts pay off, for cross fitters all over the world. It reminds me progress can be slow, challenging, and requires you to dig deep to achieve success. Most of all, I enjoy watching all of my gym-mates push themselves to higher ground. There is an atmosphere created during the open that brings us all together celebrating our goals, our perseverance and each other. Why not, right?!

I am glad I joined the No Drama Intramural because it allowed me to re-live a gut wrenching cycle of emotional swings, the likes of which have not been experienced since high school! Seriously though, participating in the intramural has allowed me to get to know more of the inspiring athletes at No Drama. They encouraged me to try the Rx level in many weeks and surprised myself that I could actually do some of it (and in several cases, movements I barely know, with a weight I've never lifted). Too often I listen to a harsh inner critic, but the spirit of the fellow athletes at No Drama is starting to drown out some of that negative self-talk. Signing up for the open on a whim has led to making some clearer goals too! A re-focus on technique is needed rather than just trying to lift more. Looking forward to next years dose of anxiety!
