facebook.comLast Wednesday, I was challenged to a 7 Day B&W Photo Challenge from a fellow photographer friend, Richard. Each day you had to take a photo but there was to be NO people, NO explinations, etc. when you posted it. Each day you had to challenge a new person to this challenge! So here were my choices for those 7 days.
Been on a mission to get some amazing harvest sunset pics but it just hasn't been in my favor this until this evening! The sunset wasn't all that but it was such a deep orange!! And it was so warm too!
It was a gorgous day and I knew I just had to get some more harvest in!! Far too gorgous to stay inside and clean all day?! LOVE the smell of harvest and enjoying all the activity! Uncle Grant, Dean and Jeremy...harvest was offically a wrap by 6pm!!!
PLEASE...a friendly reminder?! To ask for permission...if there are photos your interested in, PLEASE contact me here. THANK YOU!
Man am I ever rusty when it comes to Sports Photography but then again, my beautiful niece hasn't been involved in sports for over a year either?! I'm so glad she is back at it, she's such a natural!!! Unfortunately she hardly played this tournament due to something happening to her on Thursday. It was odvious it was bothering her...coach made a good call.
I must apologize for my lack of involement on my page these days...just soo much happening in my life?!?! I feel like this lantern alot this past year...no light.
OOPS...sorry Austen for spelling your name wrong?!?!
Sometimes the right setting makes for some great images! Alix is another little rodeo I LOVE to go down to! It was a hot one and that breeze didn't rally help much!? Meston has become a well known name in these parts and I am always keen to see what stock they keep bringing up?! Speaking of Meston, I had the pleasure of meeting Austin back in June, when he was bull fighting at the Killam Rodeo! So when I get familiar with people I meet, I tend to put alittle more focus on them! In saying that, I had an older gentleman approach me asking for my card as he had a grand daughter in Barrel Racing! Mr. Roger McAllister kindly gave me his name! Since I am watching all around me...I hope he and his family enjoy the photos I Have put in here?! LOVE coming here as the atmosphere and the arena is a real treat to photograph at!
I took some time away from the mud and great music at BVJ to come down to this great rodeo minus a few rude people. Yeah know what?! The arena is big enough for anyone to photograph?! I am there cause I LOVE rodeo and want to better my craft. WHY do other photographers and spectators have to be so rude?! I'm tired of the I'm better than you attitude. Josh Carothers is the only cool announcer that gets out and in to the thick of things. Inpressive!! There is nearly every age and in the events its not gender specific here! Thee were some pretty hard core gals out thereI tipped my hat to them cause you gals REALLY rocked it out there! The Goat Tying was adorable and the Wild Cow Milking is so that! Wished I could of stuck around for the other events afterward?! As Josh was sharing in some past Men's Barrel Racing costumes?! Its a for sure must next year!! I didn't want to miss Keith Urban, who did not disappoint!!
Well hello all...things have been extra crazy since Calgary! My album posts will be all backwards, starting with my most recent til I get to Hardisty. Sorry folks...please let me know what you think?! Its hard when your pulled every which way. Tell me what you think of these two albums?!!!
Its bben awhile since I'd done this and it was a great day to go! My friends was going to join me but had to decline do to a migraine. She was a hot one but was gladto get some race images again!! Since I hadn't had the opportunity with the big lens?! Wasn't disappointed, that's for sure. I haen't decided yet if I'll post them all yet do to the fact that a image of mine was used in last years publication of the Go East of Edmonton in the Town of Sedgewick's page, without my permission. As they still drag their heels with my lawyer, it just puts a bur in my arse?! PLEASE people, have some respect for the Photographers. We spend a lot of time and invest alot into our passion. Is it really that difficult to ask for permission? These images are COPYRIGHTED. Good golly, a print is only $25?!
My first ever opportunity to do one of these and a HUGE thank you to my friend Gail Alger, who had asked me months ago about doing this! You don't learn if you don't give it a whirl?! Glad I had the opportunity...great experience and loved what the cattle show entailed! I grew up in 4-H but it was with horses and never give beef a thought?! Was SO IMPRESSED by the dedication. The little people awed me as did one of the older gals! Man,, she blew me away with her confidence and calm nature. Like she'd been showing for many years, LOL maybe she has but, WOW! Especially when she showed a bull, IMPRESSIVE!!! These kids put alot of time into what they do, KOODOS!! I was also intrequed by how the judge spent the time, talked to each kidlet, giving pointers and such! Then the entertainment for supper...the ever genuine Andrea Nixon!!
