Women's Shelter Saakaate House provides a safe and empowering environment for women and their children who have experienced violence and abuse. Saakaate House provides a safe and secure emergency sheter for women, and their children, who have experienced abuse.  Abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, financial or spiritual.  You may experience more than one type of abuse.  
Any woman who is the victim of abuse or violence can access our services and support.  We recognize the strength and respect the rights of women.  All services are safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential.
Women who come into Saakaate House are believed, their stories validated, supported in their decisions and assisted in making informed choices for themselves and their children
