Mary Schäffer was a photographer, writer, and botanical painter who garnered an international reputation for her images, books, and mountain journeys in 1907, 1908, and 1911 to find and map Maligne Lake. We are pleased to be the title sponsor for the Mary Schäffer and Women in the Rocky Mountains of Canada exhibit at the Jasper-Yellowhead Museum. This exhibit runs from January 18 - April 30, 2018.

Celebrate a Jasper icon. On Saturday, September 30, at 12:00pm, Parks Canada, the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada and Brewster Travel Canada invite you to join the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the national historic significance of the Maligne Lake Chalet and Guest House. The unveiling ceremony will be followed by a FREE public BBQ.
