Spent the last few days canoeing and photographing one of Canada's #HeritageRivers - #MattawaRiver. Used by #FirstNationsPeoples for thousands of years as well as the water highway for the voyageurs. Reportedly the river was the most difficult part of the trip from Montreal to Grand Portage up on Lake Superior. Paddled from Talon Chutes to #MattawaRiverLodge just outside of #SamueldeChamplainProvPark. Image posted is of #ParesseuxFalls #OntarioParks #MattawaRiverProvPark

What are you going to do to celebrate Canada's 150th - how about paddle one of our heritage rivers. Check out the French River, many different trips from a variety of put ins can be done. Image below is shot at the mouth of the French as it empties into Georgian Bay. This image created using a #Fuji617 Panoramic film camera. You can see this at the award winning #FrenchRiverVisitorCentre located on Hwy 69 about an hour north of Parry Sound. #FrenchRiverProvPark #OntarioParks #RTO13A
