Affogato Café + Gelato
Description
In November 2015, the idea of an authentic Italian Café and Market realized. The owners of That Little Place by the Lights, Loris & Annie Buttus, asked Gio Pizzale to become one of the partners. On May 2, 2016, That Little Place Italian Café, Gelateria and Market opened on the riverfront entrance beside the restaurant. With the promise of summer on its way, and waterfront traffic from the town docks at Rivermill Park – it was a successful first year!
Gio started working for Loris at the restaurant as a dishwasher at the young age of fourteen. Fast forward seven years and Gio has now re-opened the café under the new name Affogato Café + Gelato.
Gio is extremely thankful to Loris for being a great mentor and friend. Affogato is dedicated to maintaining the same great quality and service that our customers have come to know and love. Our authentic gelato is made daily for freshness, variety and quality.
Affogato Café + Gelato is growing to provide Muskoka with more authentic gelato flavours and products, specialty coffees, signature sandwiches, soups, Italian pastries and desserts all with gluten free, vegan, and dairy free options. We’re also teaming up with other great local businesses to offer more locally sourced products.
