This picture of Government Lake was taken on Friday. It is now half melted of ice. Buck Lake still has a large chunk of ice out in the bay north of Bingwood. Over by Buck Cabins the lake is clear of ice. John will be flying in shortly to get the season started. We look forward to getting back into the bush!

Jay County Sportsman Show Sell Auction Portland, Indiana
One final sport show down in Portland, IN this weekend. Lots of vendors, an auction and stuff for the kids. $1 admission and a chance to win a 7 day trip to our Buffalo Island Lake outpost. Proceeds from raffle will go towards repairs to Jay County fairgrounds. Doors open at 8am tomorrow.
Ice Out Report
For those of you who are anxiously awaiting opening season on Buck Lake you can follow our ice out report on our website. A guest of ours, Jeff has been writing ice out reports for us for a few years now and has agreed to allow me to share them with everyone. Jeff does a fantastic job of compiling information and I look forward to each report. 52 days until our first guests arrive!

The Ultimate Sports Show is on today through Sunday in Grand Rapids MI. Alex and John are both down there ready to hook you up with a great outdoor experience. Whether its to one of our lodge locations on Buck Lake or at an outpost cabin on Buffalo Island Lake or White Owl Lake, you can escape from the hectic pace and unwind and relax.
