Baba Budha Ji Gursikh Gurdwara
Description
Baba Buddha Ji occupies a unique position in Sikh history, as he humbly served 6 of our Gurus. This gurdwara in Hamilton is named in his memory. Baba Budha Ji Gurdwara first opened its door to the sangat in 1995, as the third Gurdwara in Hamilton. The Gurdwara was made on the demand of the growing Sikh community in the area. The Gurdwara's expansion has started, with the generous donations of the community and Vaheguru's kirpa.

The 3 Pillars of Sikhi from Guru Nanak Dev Ji are: 1. NAAM JAPNA: Meditation on God through reciting, chanting, singing and constant remembrance... followed by deep study & comprehension of God’s Name and virtues. 2. KIRAT KARNI: To honestly earn by one's physical and mental effort while accepting both pains & pleasures as GOD's gifts and blessings. We are to stay truthful at all times and fear none but God. Live a life founded on decency immersed in Dharam - life controlled by spiritual, moral & social values. 3. VAND KE CHAKNA: The Sikhs were asked to share their wealth within the community by practising Vand ke Chakna – “Share then Consume together”. Every Sikh has to contribute in whatever way possible to the common community pool. This spirit of Sharing and Giving is an important message from Guru Nanak. We can all practice Vand Ke Chakna this weekend by donating food to the food drive, in honour of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birthday.
HUKAMNAMA for Saturday November 4, 2017:
Sangat Ji, In honour of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Gurpurab, we'd like to share this shabad with the sangat: With the emergence of the true Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the light scattered all around. Its as if with the rise of the sun, the stars disappeared and the darkness dispelled. With the roar of the lion in the forest, the flocks of escaping deer now cannot endure. Wherever Baba put his feet, a religious place was erected and established. All the siddh-places now have been renamed on the name of Nanak. Every home has become a place of dharma with singing. Baba liberated all four directions and nine divisions of earth. Gurmukh (Guru Nanak) has emerged in this dark age of kaliyug. ਗੁਰੂ ਸੂਰਯੋਦਯ Rise of Guru Nanak, Vaaran Bhai Gurdas 1, Pauri 27 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0VItL6_ISI
*** PARKASH DIVAS OF MATA SAHIB KAUR JI *** Sangat Ji, please take 2 minutes of your time to read and embrace Sikh history. Today marks the Parkash Divas of Dhan Dhan Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, the Mother of the Khalsa Panth. From an early age, Gurbani had pierced Mata Ji's heart, as They lived according to Guru Ji's Bachans. Mata Ji did not physically give birth to any children, but Guru Gobind Singh Ji promised They would be a Mother to thousands of children. Mata Ji served Guru Sahib with so much love, devotion and humility. Mata Ji also travelled to Nanded with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Everyday, whilst doing Simran, Mata Ji used to prepare afternoon Langar for Guru Sahib. Mata Ji never used to eat one morsel of food until Guru Sahib had eaten. Mata Ji gives us 9 Hukamnama, and says 4 things repeatedly. -You are my blessed children -May Guru Sahib protect your honour -Meditate upon the Guru and you will be saved -And...I love you so much. Truly know that when your heart cries out as the inner pain cannot be consoled by the material world or when you feel that there is no support, know that Mata Sahib Kaur Jee is just waiting to embrace you. The Forever Mother of the Khalsa Panth 💛 ਰਾਮੲੀਅਾ, ਹੳੁ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ O Lord, I am Your child. ਕਾਹੇ ਨ ਖੰਡਿਸ, ਅਵਗਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾੳੁ ॥ Why not destroy my sins? ||1||Pause|| ਜੇ ਅਿਤ ਕੋਪ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ, ਧਾਿੲਅਾ ॥ If the son, in anger, runs away, ਤਾ ਭੀ, ਚੀਿਤ ਨ ਰਾਖਿਸ ਮਾਿੲਅਾ ॥੨॥ Even then, his mother does not hold it against him in her mind. ||2|| Please forgive for any mistakes Sangat Ji
