facebook.comSo Bill, the weather is starting to cool down, when do I need my snows? You know, snows are only effective after 7 Celsius and lower. Driving on them at higher temperatures is just burning off good tires. At Kori's we recommend putting your snows on when the temp is consistently 7 C or less. Take them off when it warms up at 10 or so. Got your own? We'll put them on (on rims) for $20 plus tax, want them balanced? We'll do that for $50 plus tax. If they're off rims? Well that's $20 per wheel plus tax. Need them? Why, Bill will price tires for you that fit your budget. At Kori's your safety is our primary focus. Call Bill to book your appointment today!!

As August draws to a close vintage car enthusiasts know the season is a little more than half over. This means, for many, it's time for that "half time check up". It's a great idea to have the toys looked at, oil changed, major systems inspected and even the tires topped up. The last thing any of us wants is for our pride & joy to have trouble pulling away from cruise nite!! Time to check the baby out? Call Bill. Bill will give you a fair assessment and service at a reasonable price. Call Bill 289-260-7724

So Bill, I'm getting ready to take my family on the last trip of the summer, but I notice my brakes grab & there's a burning smell.. Just pads, right? Umm, nope. On most 4x4 and rear wheel drive vehicles the rear differential carries fluid in it. Been that way forever. There are seals at the end of the tubes called axle seals. When they begin to leak, stuff gets ruined in a hurry. In these photos, it's tough to see but, the seal has let go, spoiling the rotor, pads and park brake. In most cases, under a thorough 3 month inspection this may have been caught and, at least, saved the customer the surprise at trip time. Are you ok for a trip? Call Bill at 289-260-7724 for an evaluation!!

Bill, my owners manual and my other mechanic say I should have my timing belt replaced at 100,000km.. That's just mechanics trying to rip me off, right?? Well, no. A timing belt and its components are essential to engine operation. There is a very specific and electronically controlled relationship between cam & crank timing. What you need to know as a consumer, is if this goes out of wack all heck can happen. In this engine a pulley came apart, causing the belt to skip, destroying the engine. Regular maintenance may have saved this car from requiring a new engine. Do you need a new timing belt? Call Bill at 2892607724, Bill will give you an honest opinion and a fair price!!
So, Bill, we all know how amazing you are with diagnosing, repairing and servicing the new cars, but how about the vintage 'toy' cars customers drive just 3000 miles a year? Oh, Bill says, what about this 1980 Trans Am? It's got the original paint and interior. Bill assured the customer his toy would be well taken care of. It was repaired and returned with the utmost care. Got a toy car that needs some help? Call Bill, he'll treat it as it were his own! Call Bill 289-260-7724!!
Webster's defines 'greatness' as 1) notably large in size 2) remarkable in magnitude, degree or effectiveness 3) full of emotion This post is generally about auto service and repair. Today, we humbly pay respect to Muhammad Ali. The Champ. The Greatest of the World. Ali was an inspiration to us all. He came from humble beginnings, he got beat up and learned to fight (if you believe the folklore). He won a gold medal, beat Liston and beat the odds. Ali's legacy is far too significant to be stated here. He was too big. He had flaws. So do you. Ali, Elvis, Prince, Sinatra... Genius' we had for too short a time, legacies that will last a lifetime. May your spirit soar, Champ.

It used to be so easy. It really did.. At one time all you needed to make your horn go "beep" was a fuse, a relay, a button and a horn. Got 'em all with the appropriate amount of wire & people would get out of your way with the smack of the steering wheel. But now, with technological and safety related advancements there's much more to the circuit. Take this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan (Please, bah dum dup). The horn requires the obvious fuse, switch & relay, but in addition, the circuit goes through a computer & the restraint system by way of the airbag clock-spring. Much more wiring, more complicated devices. In this case the actual fuse box assembly had an internal (non repairable) fault & had to be replaced. If your vehicle is experiencing 'technical difficulties' call Bill. Bill will be glad to assess the problem & perform an affordable diagnosis and reliable repair. Call Bill at 289-260-7724

Anti lock brakes have far more components than just the wheel speed sensors. If a code triggers relating to a particular wheel there is a diagnostic process to go through to determine the exact cause of the issue. It could be a sensor, wiring, the ABS computer, or a reluctor ring as in this case. If the ring is fractured the sensor will not understand the extra gap it's picking up and ultimately trigger a code, turn the light on and shut down the ABS system. If you're ABS light is on, let Bill have a look. Bill will come up with an affordable and understandable solution. Call Bill at 289-260-7724.

When is a clunk not just a clunk? Why, when the rear strut mount is physically broken away from the body of the car. Not only is this annoying, but it is very dangerous. The wheel has no stability in this condition. Had the vehicle hit a pot hole at just the right moment an accident would have been certain. Routine inspections of your vehicle are key to ensure your safety and that of your passengers. Bill does a comprehensive inspection with every oil change or when you come in with a specific concern. For safe travels, call Bill. 289-260-7724
