The Chabad house doors at The University of Guelph will always be open to all. It is a place where students can socialize in a comfortable, home-like setting, with friends, food and discussion.
Chabad strives to create a warm and welcoming Jewish Student Center, where students can explore their Jewish heritage in a nonjudgmental and friendly atmosphere. Chabad strives to create a center for prayer and study, where one can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of one’s Jewish heritage. And Chabad strives to create a community for all Jewish students, with opportunities to expand their experiences in all aspects of their college career.
Founded on strong personal relationships, Chabad educates and empowers students to live the Joy of Judaism. We do this with many social activities where students will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of their heritage, in a fun, interactive way. We provide for the spiritual and material needs of every Jewish student - regardless of background or affiliation with unconditional love and concern.

Who would have known?!? Mr. Ari Sacher, our guest lecturer on "Inside Israel's Iron Dome", born in New York and moved to Israel in 1981, told me minutes before his speech that his mother was born in Guelph and his father was assistant Rabbi at our very own Beth Isaiah in 1941. He couldn't leave Guelph before taking a picture in front of the synagogue his grandfather served.
