Description
An award winning 17 year old photographer based in Fort Erie, Ontario, with a fun, fresh, and unique style! Hey! Let me start of by saying that I'm 17 years old! I don't have years of experience or maturity like many other professional photographers. The reason I don't market myself as an experienced professional, is because I am far from one! However, for that reason, I do have one thing what many other photographers don't have - a fresh, fun view on photography!
I am a firm disbeliever in the usual and very fake, "smile and say cheese" approach! Instead, my style is very candid, that is, capturing real moments and translating these same memories into quality photos. While I can do posed photographs, I generally prefer to set up an atmosphere where you can have fun and truly be yourself, which allows these real emotions to translate into the photographs I take!
When I'm not behind the camera, I enjoy teaching, working with technology, helping people, travelling, teaching, website and graphic design, working with children, performing, and learning (yes, I'm one of those weird kids that enjoys school). I am a very academic student, with a few of my favorite school subjects being media, English, culinary arts, film, and tech. I was born and raised in Huddersfield, England (immigrating to Canada in 2010). I currently live in Fort Erie, Ontario, a beautiful and scenic border town in the Niagara Region, about a half-hour away from Niagara Falls, and close to the cities of Port Colborne, St. Catherines, Buffalo (NY) and Welland.
In 2015 and 2016, I had the honour of competing in the Canadian skilled trades competition, at the regional, provincial, and in 2016, national levels. I am hounoured to be able to say that I placed gold all the way, achieving the Canadian national championship at Skills for photography in June. It was an amazing experience to work alongside some of Canada's leading student photographers, each highly skilled and equally humble.

Quick question! As some of you may know, I'll be exhibiting in Antoine Gaber's International Art Exhibition at The Bell Tower Community Arts & Entertainment Complex later this year. For the exhibition, I need to choose just TWO of these three photos to print on canvas, and I thought I'd put it out to all of you to get your help on which to select! Really, it comes down to which two would you be most likely to hang on your wall. Feel free to leave your input in the comments! :)

After almost nine months in the making, the music video and track I produced and directed for my friend Joe Shawana, an upcoming 17-year-old Fort Erie artist, will be making its 'official debut' tonight. This was something a little different for both of us, as neither of us had any experience shooting a music video before - but there's a first time for everything! A big thank you to Kyla, Tori, and Liz for their help in making the video happen. "It's Not Easy", his original song, right here at 7pm. Don't miss it!

This homeless gentlemen came up to me under the Avenida Kukulcán (see yesterday's post), and specifically requested this portrait. It took a minute to figure out what he was trying to ask, as he only knew Spanish. In the end, I quite like how it turned out!
