Winter is nearly over and we are on the verge of our 1 year anniversary! We would like to thank all our friends, family and followers for all your support in helping us rise above in our first year of business! Lets recap what Northern Exposures has done in year 1: City events include Elliot Lakes got Talent show, Easter Bunny at the Renaissance Seniors Center, ELSS Senior Prom, Fireworks & Canada day. Grace Christian Center Tea Party. Family Portraits: we started out a bit slow with minimal spring and summer family sessions. By fall we were over booked with an overwhelming demand for fall color sessions from mid sept until nearly the end of oct. and finally ending the year on a great upswing securing roughly 15+ winter wonderland sessions. We did 1 expecting photo session, 1 maternity photo session, several newborn/baby only photo sessions, 4 cake smashes and 2 weddings. In the past year we have added/upgraded 4 cameras expanding our style across all systems of crop sensor, full frame and mirrorless cameras. We added 2 full studio kits and lighting matched with 18 studio backdrops to choose from. Our lens collection has grown too adding 4 L series pro lens, 2 macro lens, 5 prime lens, 2 wide angle lens and a handful of lens filters. We have been aggressively using workshops and tutorials learning photoshop, lightroom and photokey 8 to use in our post production editing, and recently been quietly experimenting with video editing using adobe after effects and Premier. Multimedia includes Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Messanger, email, website and our website blog. We have added gift cards to our business and recently added our own high quality photo printer. Our packages have expanded to include photo printing on paper, canvas, metal, mugs, cell phone cases, tote bags, posters and pillows. Our promotional pricing of 5 dollars / photo has helped us build a beautiful portfolio for our new clients to see our work. Looking forward: We have already secured a few weddings/engagement bookings for 2018 so if you or you know someone who is interested in using our services for a wedding please do not hesitate to call us and secure your date. We will sit down and go through all the details with you to be sure your event goes smoothly and we capture all the timeless moments of your special day. We are adding video features to our business but right now we are in trial stages and do not offer video or video editing as of this time. Watch for it! We would like to add modelling samples to our portfolio and will be looking to shoot inspiring models when the weather gets warmer. We are looking for volunteers who may be interested in free modeling portfolios. You will receive free work from us in exchange for permission for us to use pictures in our portfolio to showcase this section. Types of modelling include fashion, victorian, dramatic, emotional, artistic. If you or someone you know may be interested this year please contact us via messanger or email. We will have more details later on in the year. This would include both male and female as well as couples. As of yet we have not done any boudoir photography. We are always willing to accept requests and maintain client privacy in a session but we also understand the comfort barrier being two male photographers. In the event that anyone was interested in Boudoir, we will always arrange one of our female partners to join us in the session. But, on a side note... we will be promoting "Dude-doir" which is Boudoir for men....comical photos of men doing the female Boudoir poses to lighten up and make there partners laugh in a brand new angle of sex appeal for men wanting to create something unique for there partners. More details on this later on in the year. As always, we will continue to entertain our followers with nature photography, canvas opportunities, scenery in and around Algoma & wildlife. We do plan on entering more vendors this year if the opportunity arises. Look for us at shows this year with product or photo booths available.
