Lose Fat. Build Muscle. Feel Good. The Training For Warriors system is a fitness program originally created for some of the best combat athletes in the world more than 17 years ago. But over that time, it was recognized that the training methods of the TFW system can benefit anyone looking to lose fat, build muscle and feel good. Now with over 240 affiliate locations in 30 countries, tens of thousands of people per day are using the TFW system to bring their fitness to another level.

After over a decade of proving TFW can increase the performance and self-esteem of the world’s top athletes, people realized that you do not have to be a fighter to use the TFW system, but you do have to want to Bring Out The Warrior Within. At TFW, we define a warrior as anyone that is prepared to work hard and develop oneself in an effort to battle against his or her particular challenges in life. The daily workouts of the TFW system are designed to develop the muscular strength and mental fortitude for you to take on those challenges.

What separates the TFW system from other training programs is its holistic approach to training. Although TFW encompasses detailed warmups, speed training, strength training, endurance training, flexibility work and nutrition all of which are based on a comprehensive evaluation process, perhaps the most important component of the system is its motivational approach. The training modalities are all applied based on the 12 guiding principles that are the philosophical foundation of the TFW system. As a result of this principle-centered approach, the TFW system offers endless variety while still focused on producing constant gains. TFW is not designed as a sport or competition, but focuses on you competing against yourself.

Transformation Thursday- Becca “Before being introduced to TFW, I struggled a lot with self confidence and trying to stay regularly active. I knew I needed a huge change but wasn't sure how to start and where to start. I was stuck in the mentality that exercise was a "chore" and struggled to find a program that I could stick with. When I was told about Training For Warriors, I was definitely excited to try it but I was nervous not knowing what I was going to be getting into. After the first session I was hooked. The amount of support from the coaches and fellow TFW familia is amazing and has made me learn to love living an active lifestyle. I used to dread going to the gym and now I can't imagine not making it to the dojo 4 days a week. Since joining in December, I have built muscle, lost 50 lbs, made healthier food choices, gained so much more daily energy, and have boosted my confidence. The only regret I have is not joining sooner!” It’s been such a pleasure seeing and being part of Becca’s journey to this point. She overcame her initial fears and uncertainty in starting (which is always the hardest part) and now, only a few short months later, has a completely new lifestyle and mindset. Transformation Thursday! ————————————— TJ Maclean “Before starting at TFW I struggled to find the motivation to do what I needed to do. I knew I had to get to the gym and start working on myself so I looked and looked at what gym to join but just made excuses on why iit wouldn’t work. I stalked TFW Didsbury for a while after I saw it come up on Facebook a bunch of times. I saw all these people having a great time and getting results. Then I watched some workouts online and thought to myself......there is no way my chubby self can do those workouts. I decided enough is enough and just took the plunge regardless. After my very first workout I wasn’t sure if I was going to be sick or needed some aspirin, but I pushed through and went back to the dojo for a second workout and have not looked back. From the very first workout I have never regretted my choice to join TFW. I still have some work to do but I have achieved nothing but results so far. The constant motivation, encouragement and good words from everyone at the dojo pushes me to be the best me I can. Matt finds just the right words to push you one step further when you think you have nothing left to give. TFW has motivated me to go to my 4 workouts per week without fail. I look forward to reaching that next level with the awesome people at TFW!” TJ doubted himself but took action nonetheless. He started, refused to quit, and the results have poured in from there. In 5 months TJ has dropped over 30 lbs, all while becoming stronger and feeling great. The excuses are gone and in their place is nothing but motivation to continually grow and improve.
