We are a small Municipal Shelter located beside the Cannington Community Centre in Cannington Ontario. We take inside our facility homeless animals in the Township of Brock and also serve as the Municipal Pound for dogs and cats that have gone astray. All animals that arrive at our facility are offered a warm, calm and soothing environment and we try to ensure the individual needs for each animal and their unique personality. We offer low rate adoptions and all animals are vaccinated up to date and spayed and neutered (if of age) prior to leaving our facility. All dogs are microchipped.

UPDATE: Wow we are overwhelmed with the response from all of you!!!! We have so many names of wonderful people offering help. We are over the moon! Help has been offered from people in Brock, Uxbridge, Scugog, Newmarket, Minden, Huntsville, Bracebridge, Orillia...etc. etc. For those who have not yet PM'd us, please do so and tell us what you can do and we will put you on our list. Thank you to Holly a vet tech from Newmarket who will be taking on two newborn cats requiring bottle feeding!!!! We cannot thank each and every single one of you enough. We will be in touch when we need to place some more animals. We have a wonderful animal loving community far and wide!!! Good Morning Friends! We are trying to build up our list of available foster parents for animals who need extra special TLC. We currently are in need of the following amazing volunteers: 1. Persons experienced in bottle feeding immature kittens. 2. Persons willing to foster nursing cats with kittens. 3. Persons to foster special needs animals. The shelter will provide the food, litter and replacement milk, bottles and veterinary care. Fostering, especially bottle feeding kittens can be very time consuming and requires an extra special commitment. Foster parents are the beating heart of our shelter. If you are interested please PM us with your name and your experience. We thank all of you for your time and consideration.

Kittens season has begun. We want to give a shout out to the Andresen family for once again coming to our rescue by rushing in to take 3 very young bottle feeding kittens. Friends, we have two exciting fundraising events happening now! Scotia Bank in Cannington has a beautiful Mother's Day Basket and all proceeds will go to the Sick and Injured Animal Fund. Also Brock's Ultimate Deals are holding an auction for an item for Mother's Day with all proceeds to the Fund. We cannot thank the Scotia Bank in Cannington and Adeline Khoo Pettit Brock's Ultimate Deals and Royal Garden Statuary for the donation of the beautiful items.

Friends we have wonderful news to share. One of our beautiful cats Lykos was adopted to a wonderful new home yesterday. Also, we sent Ebony a very pregnant cat to a Foster Home (thanks to Uxbridge Cat Rescue) yesterday afternoon. We are thrilled to report that Ebony gave birth this morning!!!!
