Dooher's Bakery - serving the community delicious, homemade baked goods fresh daily since 1949. Dooher's Bakery opened its doors in 1949 when Muriel and Harry Dooher bought a small bakery in Madoc, Ontario. With a small wood fired oven and everything made from scratch, it took courage and determination, along with incredibly long hours for Dooher's Bakery to begin this long-standing and successful venture as a high quality bakery.Today, much of the Dooher's Bakery tradition remains the same. Operated by Chris and Peter Dooher, the family business has grown as one of the finest home bakeries in southern Ontario. Located in Campbellford at 61 Bridge St., Dooher's Bakery is a pillar in the community supporting numerous local charities and fund raising activities as a sponsor and a participant,
while providing a unique attraction to the village.
Over the years Doohers Bakery has expanded in size and introduced many product lines, but the long-standing tradition of fresh home baked goods remains the same. Dooher's Bakery uses all their own recipes for breads, buns, muffins, cookies, pastries; even pie fillings are made from scratch. Using locally grown berries, and not resorting to preservatives or additives, Dooher's Bakery prides itself with quality home baked goods mixed and baked fresh every morning.
Mouth-watering and irresistible describe the many treats available at Dooher's Bakery. Sweet Rolls, pastries and squares bring visitors from afar and seasonal treats such as Strawberry Tarts and Pies are not to be missed. Traditional holiday baked goods are also a favourite.
Pumpkin pies are ordered in advance so not to be missed and Dooher's famous recipe for Christmas cake packed with fruit and nuts along with Plum Puddings, buttery rich short breads and Party trays
are a holiday favourite!
Nutritious and healthy, Dooher's Bakery offers an array of breads and rolls. The annual January Bread Sale is a local favourite, and you'll find over 20 varieties of muffins fresh baked each morning. Hand-rolled bagels, mouth watering donuts, and homemade cookies are second to none.
In 2006, Dooher's Bakery received nomination for Citizen of the Decade. Fifty-seven years after the first humble beginnings of their bakery, Dooher's commitment to community service and long standing

Happy May long weekend! We are open 7am - 5:30pm and the baked goods are flying out of the oven this morning! Fresh pies, buns, muffins, tarts, bagels & so much more. Donuts will be making their appearance by 8:30am. Have you tried our May DONUT OF THE MONTH? Salted caramel is definitely worth those sticky fingers! A new month means a NEW donut of the month! The aroma of Salted Caramel will be filling the bakery tomorrow morning! A homemade caramel glaze smothered all over a honey dip donut; finished off with a sprinkle of sea salt! This once is totally worth those sticky fingers!

Today is the last day to get your fix of our blueberry fritter - the April donut of the month! The shelves are filled with all the rest of our signature baked goods, too! It looks like a great day to load up the car and make a trip to the bakery!
