We were thrilled to recognize two heroes in healthcare recently as we presented "Guardian Angel" awards to Beulah Wiseman & Lana Payne, Palliative Care nurses. Beulah and Lana were nominated as a "Guardian Angels" through the Hospital Foundation by family members of one of their patients. This award recognizes those who have made a significant difference in the life of a patient, often going above and beyond the call of duty. The couple who made the nomination told us that these nurses were truly guardian angels for their family member who spent their final days in Palliative Care. Beulah and Lana showed tremendous care and kindness to their patient as well as love and support to all her family who will be forever grateful! Congratulations Bulah and Lana, and thank you for the work you do for the people at Western Health. You are certainly deserving of this great honour! Pictured in photo are Bulah Wiseman and Lana Payne, graciously displaying their Guardian Angel Awards. If you would like to know more about the Foundation's Guardian Angel Program, please call us at 637-5353 and we would be happy to share all the details!
