Description
The Foundation is committed to ensuring that all residents of Western NL have access to the latest medical technology for the highest level of healthcare. Through the Foundation, individuals, businesses, schools, service clubs and community organizations help to improve the quality of our healthcare services. Your donations, bequests, planned giving and special event proceeds are applied to priority items for the Western Region or can be directed to specific equipment or departments.
The Regional Foundation welcomes all contributions; we welcome and graciously accept your gifts as offerings that make an unbelievable contribution to the healthcare of our region. Every gift of support, big or small, makes considerable improvements to the health and welfare of our friends and families in the Western Region. Your action and participation is what is so essential. The Foundation graciously accepts any and all donations and issues official income tax receipts for contributions over $5.00.
The Western Regional Hospital Foundation has its own separate entity with the Board of Directors elected from the community.

It's not.” ~ Dr. Seuss, The Lorax The WRH Foundation is grateful that Elijah Payne and Jack Grant cared "a whole awful lot"! These two thoughtful boys hosted a lemonade stand this weekend past and raised $23.75 for the Hospital Foundation. Thanks to people like Elijah and Jack, we can continue to improve the level of healthcare for other children and for their parents and grandparents, right here on the West Coast of NL. We were thrilled to recognize two heroes in healthcare recently as we presented "Guardian Angel" awards to Beulah Wiseman & Lana Payne, Palliative Care nurses. Beulah and Lana were nominated as a "Guardian Angels" through the Hospital Foundation by family members of one of their patients. This award recognizes those who have made a significant difference in the life of a patient, often going above and beyond the call of duty. The couple who made the nomination told us that these nurses were truly guardian angels for their family member who spent their final days in Palliative Care. Beulah and Lana showed tremendous care and kindness to their patient as well as love and support to all her family who will be forever grateful! Congratulations Bulah and Lana, and thank you for the work you do for the people at Western Health. You are certainly deserving of this great honour!
