Iron H Ranch & Stockdogs
Description
Shepherding and Stock Dog services. Iron H Ranch is dedicated to producing high quality market lambs, boer goats, and working border collies. Here at Iron H Ranch, I am starting to develop a high quality sheep flock and goat herd. Also, I am continuing with developing a few select working border collies. I recently finished my Animal Science Technology program at Lakeland College, Vermilion, AB.
My sheep flock consists mainly of Ile De France with Medicine Ridge genetics, and commercial Suffolk ewes.
The goat herd is strictly purebred Boer goats, their genetics originating mainly from Sugarfield Farms in Ontario, Canada.
My goal is to develop low-maintenance animals with top notch conformation/health, mothering skills, milk production, carcass qualities, and impressive displays of growth/feed conversion.
My border collie stock dogs are an everyday part of running my operation. They assist with feeding, shepherding, lambing, and are used year round on the ranch on cattle, sheep and goats. I expect my dogs to be tough, biddable, and very natural, I want my dogs to perform on the ranch, in the trial field, and also in the family environment. I find great satisfaction in training a talented individual and shaping them into a hard working ranch partner. I sell started and fully trained border collies, I do not take in client dogs.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
