I think the bare wood looks really nice. Handle finished. It needed reprofiling of the blade spine and heel, but I'm content now. This knife has fought me the whole way. It was experimental with no clearly defined goals right from the start and I learned a lot from bumbling through the experiments. Seax finished with sheath. 1095 with straight hamon. Etch pattern and blade shape based on a medieval Frankish seax museum piece. Handle in African Blackwood, ammonia fumed oak, copper inlay and peened copper ends. Thanks @swordmatt for some historical design tips and introducing me to the seax. It already has a home so this particular one is not available.
