Our Goal is to encourage and improve the sport of minor hockey within our district while promoting sportsmanship and fair play. Berwick & District Minor Hockey Association takes in players from the town of Berwick and surrounding areas. Players play out of the Kings Mutual Century Centre (Appledome) in Berwick, NS.

We are doing a lobster ticket raffle starting May 20 till June 30 along with a car wash and BBQ to help off set our current deficit. We are looking for volunteers to cover 1 hour long shifts for the following events and dates. Please read carefully, changes in the upcoming registration for the coming hockey season. If you have any questions please contact Tanya Rafuse registrar@westernvalleyminorhockey.ca HOW DO I AND WHO SHOULD REGISTER FOR HOCKEY? All players must register online using the Western Valley Minor Hockey website. The website is www.westernvalleyminorhockey.ca. Registration opens on May 15, 2017 All previously registered players within Western Valley (Competitive aka “Rep” or Community Based Hockey aka “C”) must register through the online process by July 15th2017. This allows Western Valley to collect player information to formulate plans for tryouts and work within the divisions for the Recreational teams. Online registration also ensures email addresses are available for future communication. New players to Western Valley must also register through the website. *NEW this season – All players will be required to pay a $75.00 registration administration fee at the time of registration. This fee will cover the HNS fees including insurance, as well as admin, and development fees. This payment must be paid through Goalline, by mail (money orders only – no personal cheques), etransfer (must be sent to:etransfer@westernvalleyminorhockey.ca – use “hockey” as the answer for the etrasnfer), or at an in-person registration at the Greenwood Mall on June 10th 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The registration administration fee is non-refundable. All players registered will be time and date stamped at the time of registration. The time and date stamp may be used in the formation of the “C” teams. This time and date stamp will remain for anyone who registers and pays by June 10th. Anyone who registers prior to June 10th, but pays after June 10th will be date stamped on the date the payment is collected. Anyone who registers and pays after June 10th will be date stamped when payment is collected. Players choosing to play “C” (Community based hockey) will be required to pay the remaining fees (registration minus the $75 registration administration fee) to the Division in which your child will be playing under. The fees will be set by the individual Divisions. There will be fee payment times that will be held in each division for those playing Community Based “C” hockey. Please keep checking the Western Valley Minor Hockey website for dates and times. Players choosing to play “Rep” (Competitive) hockey will be required to pay the remaining fees (registration minus the $75 registration administration fee) to the team treasurer once your child is placed on a team following assessments. Tonight at the Town of Berwick Volunteer Apperception Night ....Jacob Speiran was recognized for his contributions made this past season to the IP program. Excellent job Jacob! Also recognized was our Atom coach Steve Smith who was absent because of volunteering at soccer registration...congrats Steve!
