Each of our communities is special, each is unique, and each has a story to be told. Our region is enriched by our communities. The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka sees each Y as special and sees each person in it as an opportunity for participation and belonging.
We all are part of special places we call ours. That may be a village, town, city, region – or even a lake, a café or a park. Each community, each special place, is a part of who we are and what we aspire to be. For each of us, for those who work and volunteer with our Ys, and for those who use its services, we each have a YMCA that is special to us and to our community. We each have a “My Y.”

Geneva Park International Program (3 weeks for 17 and 18 year olds) This development program takes place at the YMCA Fairthorne Manor Camp in the United Kingdom. Participants will share this leadership development experience of connecting, supporting and learning with youth from around the world. The program provides youth with an opportunity to develop leadership skills and apply them in a job shadowing experience at the camp. Throughout the last month YMCA Child Care Families across Simcoe, Muskoka and Parry Sound have been collecting change to make a change in our communities. The goal of this tremendous fundraising event is not only to raise funds to help children, youth, adults, and families access YMCA programs, regardless of their ability to pay but to raise awareness about the key determinants of health affecting our local communities. On March 7th our Child Care Teams celebrated by Moving and Grooving, raising over $24,000 to help build healthy communities. #MoveToGive
