facebook.comSince today is the first of March, the results of THE FEBRUARY GIVE-AWAY will be anounced! :) First of all: THANK YOU ALL for joining in the competition and sharing my pictures! ^^ The big winner of this 'like me' contest is Wendy! I know how much she hates head covering, but I also know how much she needs to protect herself from cold weather. So I'll make her a custom made hood that she will love during the windy days at the campsites! ;) The runner up is Ronny! I've only seen him with one hat during the last years so he REALLY needs a new one! ;) Therefor, he also wins a custom made bycocket! :) Stiena is in for a suprise, I'll make her an open hood with fabrics that match her outfit! ;) And even a bigger suprise for Danny: he didn't join the contest, BUT, it was his birthday as well, and as promised I would give away 2 bycockets and 2 hoods! So, I'm thinking about making him a winter hat also for the colder days! :)
For those who haven't heard about the FEBRUARY GIVE-AWAY I'm going to repeat myself! ;) WHAT'S THE PRIZE? A bycocket hat (for men) or an open hood (for women) are the first items that spring to mind for this action, because both items are versatile and can go with almost any outfit! :D HOW CAN YOU WIN IT? Like you're favourite picture on this page and share it publicly on your wall! :) Tell the world why you like Maiden Minne and why you like the picture, SPREAD THE WORD! ^^ Tag me in the description so I can see you've joined the contest! ;) I'll be giving 2 bycockets and 2 open hoods, 1 for both a woman and man with the most likes and 1 winner will be picked by my innocent babysitterkid's hand! ;)
THE FEBRUARY GIVE AWAY! I've already teased you with it, but let's make it official! ;) As I've reached 200 likes TWICE this month, and it was my birthday on February 7th, I will do a give-away action! :D WHAT'S THE PRIZE? A bycocket hat (for men) or an open hood (for women) are the first items that spring to mind for this action, because both items are versatile and can go with almost any outfit! :D HOW CAN YOU WIN IT? Like you're favourite picture on this page and share it publicly on your wall! :) Tell the world why you like Maiden Minne and why you like the picture, SPREAD THE WORD! ^^ Tag me in the description so I can see you've joined the contest! ;) The man and women with the most likes on his or her shared picture wins a custom bycocket or open hood! AND my lovely tiny neighbours will pick a random name for also a man and women to win a bycocket and open hood from my huuuuge stash! ;) The contest will be closed on 1/3 so you've got a weeks time to get everyone near or far to like your picture! ;) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :) P.S.: I've you've already purchased an item with Maiden Minne, please leave a rating and comment on this page. It would help me a great deal! ;)
Just when I was thinking about doing a give-away, I'm back to 199 likes. Why does this happen? Is there something you'd wish to see that I'm not providing? How can I entertain you more? Is it something I said? :( Is it something I did? :(
WOOP WOOP! :) 200 likes! :D I'm stoked! :) I'm thinking about celebrating this with a give-away... ;) Maybe I should do a 'share-and-like'-spam-action? When I hit 250 I can have an innocent hand to pick a winner? What do you think? :)
Something else: a elven-inspired LARP coat for Joke! :D thrilled to see this in a completed outfit ;)
A little photoshoot last friday at De Pelgrom (Antwerp). We had a lovely evening with Chiara and her boyfriend, and made two new friends! :D we talked about our plans for 2019, about possible collaborations with ‘The Geeky Cauldron’ (check out their facebook page!), and about a new website for Maiden Minne! :)
Just a few buckles and decorations for Ronny! ;)
A little splash of color!
This is actually a great article about why we all do these crazy things, to step out of our modern life and gind out for ourselves what history is about! ;) https://thewalrus.ca/inside-the-weird-world-of-historical-re-enactors/
Ta-dah: the banner for Aymar was used last weekend for the SCA-event Ad Flumen, where Aymar was crowned!
For those who are - like myself - obsessed with historical costumes, here's an interesting BBC4 -series for you! :) In 'A Stitch in Time' several costumes will be examined and reconstructed, following correct techniques and materials. Needless to say: VERY interesting! ;) ENJOY! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvtcfuHu-bQ&app=desktop
