UNTUK MAKLUMAN WARGANEGARA MALAYSIA YANG BERADA DI LUAR NEGARA KHUSUSNYA DI BELGIUM DAN LUXEMBOURG: Permohonan pengundian pos di luar negara bagi pengundi berdaftar telah dibuka mulai 23 Januari 2018. Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) Malaysia telah menetapkan beberapa syarat bagi melayakkan seseorang pemilih berdaftar untuk mengundi secara pos, seperti berikut: a. Mestilah seorang pemilih yang berdaftar dengan SPR (kategori Pengundi Biasa) dan bukan kategori Pengundi Tidak Hadir (PTH) Luar Negara; b. Menetap di luar negara (kecuali Selatan Thailand – Wilayah Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkhla dan Satun, Singapura, Brunei dan Wilayah Kalimantan Indonesia, tidak layak diberikan kemudahan untuk mengundi melalui pos dan perlu balik ke Malaysia untuk mengundi pada hari pengundian dilakukan); dan c. Pernah berada di Malaysia atau kembali ke Malaysia tidak kurang dari 30 hari dalam tempoh 5 tahun sebelum pembubaran Parlimen atau Dewan Undangan Negeri yang sedang berkuatkuasa. Sehubungan ini, mana-mana warganegara Malaysia yang memenuhi syarat-syarat seperti yang digariskan di atas, boleh memohon kemudahan mengundi secara pos dengan mengisi Borang 1B – Borang Permohonan Kertas Undi Pos (Pengundi Pos Luar Negara) melalui laman sesawang SPR - http://www.spr.gov.my/ Maklumat lanjut mengenai permohonan ini boleh diperolehi daripada Kenyataan Media Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) Malaysia melalui pautan di bawah. 6th Malaysia-European Union Senior Officials' Meeting, 10 October 2017, Brussels Belgium -Joint Press Release- A Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM) between the European Union (EU) and Malaysia took place at the European External Action Service in Brussels on 10 October 2017. The open and constructive exchange covered a broad range of issues including economic and political developments in the EU and Malaysia, bilateral cooperation, regional issues as well as global developments and security challenges. The meeting enabled both sides to take stock of the state of EU - Malaysia relations, and to discuss how to develop these further for mutual benefit. Both sides stressed the importance of the early signingand entry into force of the EU-Malaysia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. This agreement will provide the framework for EU - Malaysia relations in the coming years. Both sides discussed their trade and investment relationship and looked forward to the meeting between EU Trade Commissioner Malmstrom and Malaysian Trade Minister Mustapa on 20 October to take this relationship forward. The EU and Malaysia identified a number of areas for closer cooperation, including in the fields of security, higher education, climate change and science and technology. Senior Officials welcomed the adoption of the ASEAN-EU Plan of Action 2018-22 as the EU and ASEAN mark the 40th anniversary of their relations. Both sides agreed that regular consultations at senior officials' level were important in facilitating engagement and closer cooperation between the EU and Malaysia. The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Gunnar Wiegand, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific in the European External Action Service (EEAS) and H.E. Raja Nushirwan Zainal Abidin, Deputy Secretary-General (Bilateral Relations) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Brussels, on 16 September 2017 hosted a high-tea session with Malaysians residing in Belgium and Luxembourg. The session served as a platform for the Embassy to engage the diaspora pertaining to the Government of Malaysia’s latest development initiative: TN50, a national development initiative for the next thirty years (2021-2050). During the session, H.E. Dato’ Hasnudin Hamzah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium highlighted the elements of the TN50 initiative which is aimed at establishing enabling conditions for Malaysia to emerge as one of the top 20 countries in the world by the year 2050. He emphasized on the importance for Malaysians from all walks of life including the diaspora to participate and contribute in this consultation process of shaping the aspirations of all Malaysians come 2050. The event was participated by more than 30 Malaysians. It was an interactive session whereby the session had listened to several Malaysian youths expressing their views and hopes with particular interest in the area of governance, values and unity.
