Throwing some core focused exercises in my training regime today. I actually don't spend too much time focusing on core isolation based exercises, I have spent years training my mind to muscle connection with my core to ensure it activates with every single Mve.mnt. and continue to protect my spinal defect. I find the best core exercises to be all my king compound Mve.mnts. (Pull ups, Deadlifts, Squats etc). As a trainer passionate about 'bang for buck style exercises' I always like to ensure I'm changing up the base of support with any core focused exercises I do, to throw another stimulant in my training and keep the body guessing with stabilisers too. Today I used the tricep dip bar for half leg raises and the ab wheel for rollouts, targeting Vertical and Horizontal Mve.mnt. patterns. When it comes to core strengthening and toning, SLOW and CONTROLLED Mve.mnts. are often most effective. These exercises are slightly more advanced, next week I'll post some more approachable and highly effective core exercises I always use when educating my clients how to connect with and strengthen their core. ✖️T H R O W B A C K T H U R S D A Y ✖️ . ⚠️ WARNING! This is a majorly emotional appreciation post for my client @buffstains who's probably going to kill me for the corniness of of it. . Flashy, stylin, fun photo shoots aside, THESE are the moments and the why's behind why I love what I do so much. . Coming on to 7 months ago James, came to me with a serious weight loss goal at Fitness First Cronulla, right when I was in the middle of my interview process with Fitness First Titanium Barangaroo and couldn't tell anyone. He wanted to lose weight, smash everyone at Fitness First The Zone in GST class by nailing a 60 second chin up hold and rebuild a healthy lifestyle with his fitness. . 7 months down the track he followed me in to Titanium and on our fitness collaboration journey he's a number of kilos down in weight (I'm talking double figures, we will let you know after his next in body scan check in, in 3 weeks). That chin up hold yeh he well and truly smashed that months ago, and now he's beginning to lift his own bodyweight with one of the hardest resistance band offering the least assistance. . How'd he get these amazing results? He committed with nothing but discipline and focus to every tool I gave him to set him up for success. From learning to hit his macros correctly nutritionally to never skipping a beat on his physical training programs. Every session I talk to him he's genuinely learning and passing on knowledge he is gaining from our sessions to his colleagues and friends. . I'm excited to see your calendar shoot booked for next Summer at the rate you're ticking boxes Murph! 😂 . Proudest Personal Trainer right here! ✖️B R E A K F A S T O F C H A M P I O N S✖️ I've had a few of my corporate clientele asking after some healthy and easy breakfast options to kickstart the day. Yesterday I posted an Overnight Oats/Bircher Muesli recipe. Today my cousin @nadiafelsch hits the nail on the head with what I consider an absolute breakfast of champions. Almost any cafe will cater to an order like this! 👌🏽 My favourite part is it hits ALL your macronutrients healthily. What are macronutrients?
