Running - a beautiful thing...ruined by poor technique. It is time to learn how to run; to do drills to improve your technique; exercises to improve your stability, strength and position; and ultimately, run better and safer through efficiency!
The Running Lab will teach you to use the hardware you were born with (i.e. the biomechanical masterpieces known as feet), to move safely and efficiently in the skilled process known as running.

Is School Uniform Policy HARMING Your Children
SCHOOL SHOES… The most important choice you will make for YOUR Children’s FEET Part 5 (of 5) Wrapping up my 5 part series on School Shoes.. I want to address the most common hurdle when educating on School Shoes… “My children’s school requires them to wear xyz shoe” Yes, many schools have uniform policies in place that go against what I have advised in the first 4 parts of this series This is not their fault.. This is based on the education provided in the past (and unfortunately most of the time now also).. The same education that saw me wear Stiff Rigid Clarks School Shoes through my school days My parents did not put me in Clarks school shoes to cause harm.. They did it because they were told it was best for me BUT.. if they knew better at the time I know they would not have done this In fact, on a separate note, I have had to slowly transition my own parents out of the stiff rigid shoes I put them in for years on end.. And to close this tangent, they love their thin, flexible, flat shoes they wear now SO, for me the question is based on what is best for Your Children. I spend my Clinic days rehabilitating broken down Feet, Legs and Hips.. Almost ALL of which is PREVENTABLE Healthy FEET rarely attend my Podiatry Clinic.. And when they do it is usually to Learn how to Run Better If your school has strict uniform policy, you are likely paying good money for that school to mould your children into Intelligent, Respectful people But is that same uniform policy causing PHYSICAL HARM to Your Children’s ability to be STRONG and HEALTHY This is not about FIGHTING against policy.. School Shoes.. What YOU Need to Know (5 Part Series) How IMPORTANT are YOUR Children’s FEET?? Your Children’s FEET are made up of 56 Bones and 66 Joints.. ALL which are made to MOVE Healthy Feet act like SPRINGS.. Just like the Springs in your Car Now imagine driving your car without Springs… Ouch!! Well unfortunately that is what many SCHOOL Shoes do to your Children’s Feet.. they take away their natural SPRINGS by interfering with the MOVEMENT of these 66 Joints In doing so your children’s feet now function like a car without Springs.. 2016.. Dubbed the Year of The Running Lab by my wife in January… And what a year it was!! With the unwavering support of Maryann and my Business Coaches (Drew and Ben Slater) I shared my Running Lab and StrongFeet Methods and Principles with over 100 Practitioners and Coaches I travelled around Australia and to New Zealand teaching and coaching Crossfit Athletes (from the Elite to the Beginner and all in-between) how to make Efficient Running a Strength in their armoury But behind the glamorous Social Media Curtain there was plenty of Stress, Doubt and, above all, sweat sapping work Thank you to all who made this possible, including my AWESOME Colleagues at Wollongong Podiatry, who kept the clinic leading from the front as it has done for 30 years now 2016 was a BLAST… Have a great Christmas everybody..
