Town Hall Gallery
Description
Town Hall Gallery is the premier public art gallery for City of Boroondara. Town Hall Gallery is the premier arts gallery of the City of Boroondara, located in the Hawthorn Arts Centre.
It is a state of the art, curated exhibition venue, consisting of three exhibition spaces as well as an adjacent Community Project Wall.
The exhibition programming features a mixture of curated exhibitions, exhibitions from the Town Hall Gallery Collection (supplemented with loans from private and public lenders and institutions), and touring exhibitions.
The Quest Hawthorn Community Project Wall is dedicated to emerging artists, community groups and schools in Boroondara. An application process is in place for exhibiting, keep an eye on our Facebook page here, and our website, for callouts and deadlines.
The new Town Hall Gallery conforms to the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Code of Ethics (2006) and NAVA Code of Practice for the Professional Australian Visual Arts, Craft and Design Sector (2009).

Artist Call-Out: Hartwell Underpass Mural The City of Boroondara is seeking submissions to develop and install original painted murals on two brick walls of a railway underpass at Hartwell Shopping Centre, Camberwell. Lido Cinemas: Monsieur Mayonnaise Q&A Screening at Lido
**Giveaway**Just over the road, Lido Cinemas is holding a special Q & A screening of the documentary about the iconic Melbournian Georges Mora – Monsieur Mayonnaise – this Friday 2 December, 6.30pm. It’s an intriguing, and little-known story about how Mora helped saved the lives of many Jews during WWII with a simple trick involving mayonnaise and baguettes!
