A lovely Wednesday swim for 17 relaxed freestylers today. Not as rough as recent weeks. Lovely and clear in the water and about 21 degrees in.

What a great day! Yarra Plenty Swimming Club brought 27 awesome young people to Williamstown last week for a day of open water swimming. We learnt about body position, sighting, breathing, drafting and group swimming for the open water. After lunch, Andrew Christie from Melbourne Polytechnic took us snorkeling at Jawbone Marine Sanctuary. Thanks Andrew! and thanks Paul for organising a great day!

We looked the sea in the face today and said I am awesome. 25 swimmers braved a 1m swell and my corny speeches to get some coaching at Willy beach. Joachim swam about 5km in just over an hour, in preparation for the nationals in 2 weeks. Mike's big pink ball took off and Adrian's anchor was officially declared a menace. See you Wednesday
