Friday night was party night for all the educators and admin at RSK, we all had a great time together to celebrate Christmas and the 2016 year.

Red and Green groups were lucky enough today to have a special performance from the CAMP QUALITY puppets. The touring puppet show for our kinder answered difficult questions kids have about cancer in both a factual and humorous way Often the effects of cancer can be confronting for young kids - when children return to kinder or school they often look very different as a result of the side effects from their treatment. This needs to be explained so kids know what the child has been through and why it’s important to support them. Importantly the puppets teach students that cancer is not contagious. The show encouraged kids to be supportive of their friend who has a mum, dad, brother or sister living with cancer – or who has cancer themselves, and reduces the likelihood of bullying, exclusion, confusion or anxiety. What a wonderful opportunity both groups had today in support of a family at kinder who is going through this process. Thank you Camp Quality. #campquality #letsbeatcancer

Melbourne Museum
The new and improved Children's interactive museum has been redeveloped and apparently its AMAZING. One of our kinder families went on the weekend and said she was blown away by it. Her lovely daughter Zoe said "It was so much fun, I just didn't know what to do there was new stuff everywhere and we even got to go inside a bug". Sounds like a winner. #melbournemuseum
KidsMatter for families
A great resource for families with children who have anxiety about starting school or those with ASD. This tool can be used over the school holidays to prepare your child for the transition to school.

Do you have a spare half an hour/a hour on Tuesday 20th December to assist the educators with RSK clean up day. A to-do-list has been placed in kinder foyer for anybody who can help us out. Some of the tasks include; wiping blocks, cleaning easels, wiping shelves etc. Children are welcome on the day. Thank you.
